Oof. I have had a growing suspicion that role playing games are getting over-evolved, like those giant elk whose horns were too big for them to move or eat. I think a fantasy role playing game whose mechanics are so precious and refined that you cant cant kick ass on bad guys anymore crosses the line. I am going to lock myself in my basement with 2nd edition Runequest .
