Actually, This setting is NOT meant to emulate Buffy or Angel. The d20 Modern rules has another setting that emulates the hunters type setting as Buffy or Angel - "ShadowChasers" (also available as a stand-alone minigame from Polyhedron).

This is pretty far from ShadowChasers in feel. While I don't disagree with the review (I'm not a huge fan of UA), comparing it to Buffy is a disservice to both.
