Here's just another take on things.

Big systems, little systems, specific to genre or setting, generic - none of that may matter so much as how well the system fits the users lifestyle.

HERO is what I want: a toolbox. I can do a lot with that, but for my busy life it's just too time consuming. SAVAGE WORLDS (to pick another somewhat generic system) is also a toolbox, but because it's much smaller, because the entire system and game line is designed to make the GM's job easier, it fits my lifestyle better.

So to me it's *obvious* and tremendously *reasonable* that SAVAGE WORLDS is 'better than' HERO, but I think that just because it fits my needs better.

Comparing oranges and apples, ya see.
