I can see the horror and disdain ducks encourage, but...

My 7 year old son is about to embark on his first HeroQuest (new Glorantha based-game) and, to make character gen easier for him, I simply got out a rule book, told him to flick throught and find a picture he liked and we'd base the character round that.

Guess what he fixed on?

But so what? If it helps get him into roleplaying, is funny, but capable of a serious side too, then I'm all for it. And there have been sillier and stupider creature types in other games.
