Agreed. The astounding game fiction was one of the primary resaons that I purchased Dread. The fiction is absolutely <I>fantastic</I>.

That said, upon receiving my copy of Dread, I found that the game fiction (while still absolutely stunning) seemd to describe and entirely different setting than the rest of the book.

For me, the game fiction did indeed speak to me of visceral horror. Unfortunately, the rules and other setting backdrop didn't do the same.
