I ALMOST bought HQ the other week. I looked at the secret SJGames price code (known only to the Illuminated), decided I must be mistaken, and brought it to the counter. But when the clerk rang it up as US$39.95, I had to renege.
Forty bucks just seems too much for a not-especially-thick black & white perfect-bound softcover, especially considering I already own the Hero Wars boxed set.

I like to support indy game designers, but Keee-rist! I could get the next two Sorcerer supplements for that kind of money.
