Just my opinion on the matter. but yes, I think we probably fit Generation 2 or 2a. I do not know if I agree with the implied higher generations being more advanced though. I have played many of the games listed and it seems more like a categorical definition. I would group the Iridium System with GURPS and other universal systems. Mostly this is due to the skill structure and the stat driven aspects. The stat driven mods to skills and the fact that they make up the Defense and base Fortitude of a character make for a level of flexibility in and the ability to make up classes/races/skills/weapons. To me that is what a universal system should be about.

I trust Rafael's understanding of the system and as usual he is right on with his evaluation.
