I have to agree... Personally, I love painting minis, and am quite good at it... however, I don't have the time to paint up all the figs for the games I want to play.

Additionally, I don't feel like dropping $120 to hopefully get enough minis to field opponents in my D&D game.

My simple solution, is to use the Fiery Dragon counter packs for most of the "grunts" and even some of the higher-levelled NPCs, and then paint nice minis for major villains, or just if it's something I feel like painting.

It also has the added "oomph" that only major characters (PCs and NPCs) get 3-D fully painted figs, so they're instantly recognizable on the table top...
