Another option would be to visit the Cumberland Games website ( http://www222.pair.com/sjohn/cumberland.htm ) and take a look at the Sparks miniatures. There're free samples to download.

Essentially, they're the old folded-paper miniatures given a new lease of life. Difficult to describe, but easy to understand. Good for laugh, too.
