Converted from Phorums BB System

That aspect is what generally has always turned me off of GURPS and Hero. It was what made me doubtful about CORPS. When I actually began running CORPS, I found that it's a very hard system to abuse. Sure...if you take a Psych Lim level 5, then you can get 10 points. But 10 points doesn't go very far in CORPS, and the character would be a psychotic.

Loading up on disads in CORPS isn't worth it. They are serious limitations, and not things to mine for points. I had a couple of players try it but rapidly realized the disads were -actually disads-. After that, nobody takes disads unless they really fit the character. True, most people buy their age up a bit, but I think Greg assumed people would, because it hasn't been at all unbalancing.

I think Greg did an outstanding job in balancing costs and benefits. Despite my initial misgivings, CORPS has stood the test of time to remain my favorite gaming system after more than a decade.
