(as stated elswhere...) I object to anecdotal evidence in the review; conversations and publications have different standards. In one specific instance, I (gently) objected to the Rev's use of anecdote in support of a blanket observation-and then chided myself as an object lesson.

OK Seanchai, here's your chance: please do tell everyone what YOU think hit points are. I don't want a verbatim regurgitation of the DnD PHB either-I want to know what you think the consensual abstraction the gaming community calls "hit points" represent. Please enlighten everyone...
