I'd much rather have seen Tynes/Stolze's Madness Meters from Unknown Armies. I mean, under BRP/D20, you can reach a state of zero sanity from repeated exposure to the same, minor stimuli, like say seeing Deep One after Deep One. There's no system for callousness.
