Converted from Phorums BB System

I will first admit I have not played either version of CoC. But I have read many of the posts and talked to people I know who have played the BRP version. I always got the impression that pc's usually end up going insane or end up meat for the beasts if the game is run properly. Arguing about who can take a .357 magnum slug in game where you fight creatures from another demension, kind of narrow in arguements. The real question is whether there is enough information in the book so a gm who has never run CoC in any system can run a good game with the proper atmosphere and setting.

In most rpg's most pc's take all sort of hideous damage just like their heroes in fiction and comics. Remember it is a game and a good time is the most important thing.
