And, yeah, I think what made Dan's rant so weak was not that he felt strongly about it. That's fine. He has an opinion and he presented it on a public forum.

What makes it so weak is that he then suggests that not only is the game written "wrong", but that anybody who enjoys or accepts it as written is clueless.

Sad.
