This was my exact thought.

Leviathan is the water serpent and I've seen it portrated as female, male, and without gender. I think Dan is confusing it with the gender-specific Tiamat (female, primordial water serpent)...

I don't see the point of turning this water serpent gender thing into a reason not to buy Armageddon. Silly.
