Pure Capitalism

Converted from Phorums BB System
All I can say is that like pure Communism, pure Capitalism has never been tried anywhere, which is probably just as well. If you go for the purest form "Whatever the market will bear, no government interference" we would have no tariffs, no trade barriers, no protectionism, no subsidies, no price caps, no minimum wage, and no other constraints whatsoever. If a guy can make his stuff cheaper in Place B as opposed to Place A, he would be a fool to keep his company in Place A.
The biggest problem with modern views of Capitalism is that people want to invest it with moral weight. Capitalism, especially in its purest form, is outside of morality. It is not moral, amoral, or otherwise -- it is strictly an economonic model and does not pretend to be anything else.
