H&G

Converted from Phorums BB System

It really is a shame they couldn't do a Carcassone 2nd edition, incorporating the elements of H&G. We'll have to wait until noone is buying Carcassone or its expansions any longer I guess...

H&G is undoubtedly the better game, just as you say in your review, but its graphics is a major downer for me.

It really is not the same. H&G feels like a children's game, complete with drawings of cute animals.

Subjective, I know, but I prefer the city-theme so much more I can't bring myself to play H&G... :-(

A simple redrawing of the graphics would do the trick: Rivers become roads; huts become towns or markets. The animals could become farms while the tigers become bandits. Etc.

I wonder how far you would get simply using the Carcassone units, but apply H&G rules?
