I would have no idea, I have yet to buy Contacting Aliens: The Illustrated Guide to David Brin's Uplift Universe.

From a GURPS perspective I think there is as much there as any other GURPS supplement. But the charm to GURPS supplements for me has always been that they can be applied elsewhere too.
