Valar alternated gender pronouns because...

Converted from Phorums BB System

The Core Rulebooks published by WotC serve as an unofficial manual of style, or sorts, for d20 writing in general, and the Wizards books all alternate gender pronouns as subsequent cases come up in the book. I haven't been to Valar's website in a while, but I'm pretty sure Gwendolen Kestrel (sp), an editor for Wizards, worked on the BoEF, and I think most of the designers are employees or ex-employees of Wizards. They probably would have had to write in that style while working on material to be published by WotC, or in Paizo Publishing's Dungeon, Dragon, and Polyhedron magazine.

I hope that makes sense - It's late and I've been writing on the influence and use of traditional religious space in modern Tokyo for the past week, but it's nice to think about RPG writing again.
