Actually about the review

I just thought that there should be at least one thread *actually* about the review, not the short stories of a certain author, or a particular game by another company. Both of these shall remain nameless.

I noticed a few things once I discovered the *more reviews* link.

1. Both reviews are pretty long. I checked out the game on my own (by the way steelcaress, the *real* publisher's link is at the top of the review) but I wish *somebody* would make a short review of that game. By *short review* I don't mean some wiseacre just posting "lol ur si teH suXx0r lol." I mean a *real* review, good/bad/indifferent, just shorter.

2. The comments don't really address the review itself. There's a few threads on the other review that are *very* much for or against the game. Everybody has an opinion, but this game seems to bring out the violent arguments in some (it's a *game* people). Unfortunately, most of the posts were'nt about either the game or the review itself.

Now that that's out of the way...

I liked the review. I haven't played the game, but I found the review to be helpful in deciding if I ever want to play (my friends are also in the *d20/everquest/FF is ALL* mode). I didn't find that there was any thing misleading about the game, it's obviously a playtest review, not a capsule review, and she said so up front.

I for one want to see a lot more reviews like this (except maybe shorter?). It's easy for someone to get a comp copy & flip through the book writing down dice mechanics. I want more reviews about what it's like to *actually play* the game.

Mandy, if you read this, get some more games to play and review, please!

Everyone else who reviews, please also write more playtest reviews!!
