A response to your previous post first...I don't have ANY "bias hate" tword role-master. My words were, "I was never a big fan". To me, that means, it was never my system of choice. That can be said about about a billion games I've played. I never one spent any effort putting down role-master.

I don't know what you mean by "give HARP a break". The review (sans the opinions) was meant to be informative. The opinions were more possitive than negative , and the negative comments are still only opinion, so some may view things that I didn't like as pretty darn neat (point of view)!

I say Basic & Expert, because, when I started playing (D&D), that's all there was for many years. The companion (ect.) didn't come along till several years (and another edition) later. IMHO, Basic & Expert covered all that needed to be covered.
