Converted from Phorums BB System

I m a die hard fan of Rolemaster ( My version of it that is). I ve tweaked the system from it basics to something I feel good about. Not adding much to the debate really, but as Grubman says the system isnt for everyone.

Personally I havent tried it yet, will buy HARP when I get a chance just to read it and see what a Rolemaster lite would look like.

I form one love the complexity (!?! Been playing so long that I think its out right easy, and the calculations can be done really fast if you just know what to do or use a calculator of some sort)
The main problem with D&D in my opinion is the everending grind to down a monster, powerfull NPC. It takes like a gazillion fighters mauling the opponent to the ground, when a Rolemaster ( guessing HARP) character can sneak up behind him and place a dagger in a critical spot.

This wasnt gonna be a post against D&D or HARP for that matter it was gonna be a post about the review and personally I think you did a good job.

Just to end this I would like to use an example of from a gaming session ( actually 2 very similar ones).
The characters have to ambush a wagon from a opposing faction carrying some expensive spices. The D&D and Rolemaster battle starts with 5 characters shooting arrows at the poor wagon owners. The Rolemaster battle tkes 2-3 rounds as the characters have planed the ambush very good and a good placed arrow is deadly. The D&D session on the other hand has about 20 arrows landed at the end and the opposing faction still have HPs left to fight.

Devide 20 arrows on 5 people and picture them fighting ?! Not very realistic imho, but that is really the basic difference between the systems if you ask me.
