Good suggestion, and one I've thought about myself.

Problem being, I'm a very picky shopper, with a somewhat limited budget, in a town with only a handful of stores that even carry RPGs. When I purchase a product, it's usually one I'm virtually certain I'll like; and I tend to sell off anything I'm not using at the moment.

But I'll peruse the heaps of books I have; there are a few I am pretty lukewarm about. Maybe ask some friends for a peek at their bookshelves.
