RE: Tri-stat = ridiculously unrealistic

Actually he has a very good point, one that I agree with. For example consider strength and agility. It seems to me that it's very uncommon in the real world to find a big strong guy that is also very agile.

However reality is unimportant, it's the genre that the game is trying to represent that should determine the rule. And in the anime/superhero world big strong lugs are hardly ever super agile and dextrous. Nimble super-fast characters are hardly ever mighty bricks. So the rule most definitely doesn't hold when considering genre.

I recognise that Tri-stat has the ability to make exceptions, however I feel that the association of all physical ability in one stat definitely should not be the rule, it should be the exception, especially in anime/superhero genres.

Furthermore just because you can make the argument that subdivision of stats could go on forever (which I agree it could) doesn't mean that _no_ subdivision at all is the best way. If you really feel that way you could just one ONE stat called "Ability", with the assumption that capable people are usually more capable in every area.

I feel that _some_ subdivision of stats is good. Something along the lines of Strength/Agility (for Body), Intelligence/Charisma (for Mind) and Willpower/Luck (for Soul).
