Actually, Attractiveness is a whole lot more useful than Comeliness ever was in 1st Edition AD&D.

Attractiveness is the focus of some classes, some feats, adds to magic, and really is a useful game stat.

Comeliness didn't do much at all. It was just an indicator of beauty. It didn't really do anything else.
