Actually, RMSS is much less clunky than AD&D. At least, Wizards did D&D right with the launch of Third Edition, but ICE have yet to revise their RMSS rules as well. The last time they revise the rules, it was called RoleMaster Fantasy. I can't helped wonder if HARP is actually a marketing scheme to resell RMFRPG in a differently new packaging.

RMFRP was a repackaging, not a revision. Done to make RM affordable at a lower price point. While the current ICE may not like some of the things the old ICE did to RM in revising it to RMSS/FRP, we are stuck with it until we have other revenue streams to be able to properly revise it.

HARP is not, in any, way, shape, or form, anything like RMFRP. They are two separate games, completely different, although they are mostly compatible with each other.

HARP has completely different combat and magic system than RM does...
