You don't understand where I'm coming from, so please don't make snap judgements like this.

My comments are not grounded in some sort of d20 fan loyalty.

They're grounded in a desire not, for instance, to have to look up damage values on a chart for my weapon versus target's armour category.

Also, even though I am (not trying to brag) very very good at mental math, I still feel that a percentile system which involves adding and subtracting any old numbers (as opposed to adding modifiers which are multiples of 10s) is going to slow things down a bit. I prefer the simplicity of smaller numbers.

I do play some d20 but also play - and prefer - (Tri-Stat) Silver Age Sentinels, Feng Shui, 7th Sea, etc.
