Note that there was another game in the Mayfair crayon rails series not mentioned in the article- North American Rails. It was pretty much the same as Empire Builder, only it incorporated Mexico and Canada onto the map, and was sold in a plastic tube with a laminated paper map like Nippon Rails. It was seemingly put out of print when it was made redundant by the new version of Empire Builder.
