So instead of the term 'roll-playing', which is a widely recognised term for a style of play in which dramatics and character portrayal are secondary to dice-rolling and mechanics (as in a wargame or more abstract boardgame), I should use the term 'roleplaying'. Is this correct?

In which case, the sentence should read (in part):

"...helps players with their roleplaying (as opposed to roleplaying...)"

Brilliant!

Who said it was a joke? I consider 'roll-playing' to be a fairly standard term.

I can't believe what a pair of whingers you both are. Why pick out such an unimportant section of the review for comment when there is so much more to talk about (whether good or bad).

I can handle the constructive criticism from 'Loudmouth', because it was incisive and relevant.

You two sound like a pair of whiny nit-pickers. Besides which, what does the following actually mean (which one of you wrote and the other saw fit to quote):

"Please, I cant people who purport to be interested in better roleplaying are still banding about this hackneyd term."

...I cant people...? Thieves' Cant?

By the way, there's an extra 'e' in 'hackneyed'. Can't we bury these damn non-spellers? Amen to me.
