Thanks for the clues.

I think what's happening is, people are seeing more of the world painted with these broad brush strokes and think, well, now it's just fake earth history without any Gloranthan details.

All I can offer is, if the detail already applied to the well developed areas (as Erik points out), is applied with time to the rest of Glorantha, it will all, across the surface of the cube, have its own, shiny and unique details.

So, Generic? No. More than before? Absolutely.
