Converted from Phorums BB System

From what I understood upon reading the book, AU is NOT meant to mix in with normal D&D d20 rules or systems. It is meant to be its own world, with its own rules and its own systems. It is a d20 product, so it uses many of the same mechanics, but has a style and flavor all its own.

My group has a few DM's, and we alternate between us running the game. One of them is currently running an AU campaign, using only the rules from the AU book. It's some of the most fun I've had since the pink D&D basic rules box I got for Christmas 20+ years ago. It's a whole new world, with new characters, monsters, magic and areas to discover. Before you try saying that this class is too weak, or that one is too powerful, try playing one of them in an AU game at a convention. The argument holds about as much water as saying Wizards are unplayable because they are too weak at low levels, or because they are too powerful at high levels.

The AU book was the first product in a line supporting the world of the Diamond Throne. It wasn't meant to be mixed in with your typical D&D game, although I believe Monty did provide some tips on how to do so either in the book, or on his website. It is one of the best books I've bought since the d20 wave started, and the game itself is as fun as anything else I've ever played.
