Converted from Phorums BB System
If you have declared all of your dice on your initial attack then you don't have any dice to buy initiative back.
You throw red I throw white.
You declare a full out attack with 14 dice (aggressors have to declare first).
I say screw defense and go offense. I declare 6 dice out of 14 in my attack.
I use the remaining 8 to buy initiative. That gives me 4 dice to boost your target number up so you will almost assuredly loose the roll.
I go first - a free and clear shot with 6 dice. After this you are either dead, or wounded and your remaining options are all about how to just lose the fight and live another day instead of losing the fight and dying. Your response attack might never come. If it does it's going to be severely crippled from shock and blood loss.
