You're almost spot on there, Tim. Social interaction does play a very big part in a/state (well, as I envisaged it, anyway). The social aspect is very important, as I wanted the setting to be quite 'personality-centric' (now there is a bad marketing-esque quote if ever I heard one!). Not just the personalities of NPCs and PCs, but the personality of the places and of The City itself.

And yes, combat can be pretty gritty. And deadly.
