I wasn't making hidden references to D&D, though. You just inferred that. Yes, a lot of the things I mentioned DO exist in D&D, but they don't exist *ONLY* in D&D. They exist in lots of other fantasy games too. Earthdawn, for instance. Actually, someone else in another reply listed a whole bunch of other fantasy games that match the things I described.

Maybe I should have said "many other games" instead of "most other games" in an instance or two. That would have been more accurate. But I think it's splitting a fine hair, and not worth all this nasty discussion.
