The Call of Cthulhu rulebook wasn't just a magic and spell book, it was a complete genre sourcebook, with spells, monsters, combat systems, religious pantheon, setting, background, etc. etc. etc. Comparing it in this way to the Primer is apples and oranges. The Primer wasn't meant to include 'mythos creatures' because it is only about spells and magic. This may be the source of some of your misunderstandings as a reviewer.
