I'm reminded of the review of "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie" in The Stranger (a weekly Seattle newspaper). Boiled down to "I hate cartoons and anime is just Bugs Bunny with guns, so I don't even have to watch it to give it zero stars."

This review is less extreme than that, but at the same time it was singularly unhelpful.

If you're not familiar with a genre, then you have no way of knowing whether the game achieves what it has set out to do. If you don't LIKE the genre and have no exposure to it, you're not going to like or understand the game.

What we have here is a review that is less a review of the game and more a baffled shrug at the genre, and that's just not helpful.
