A late 80's SF game, very hard SF, very military oriented, based on the graphic novel of the same name. It had some very interesting background elements and some interesting systems (such as ties and self-esteem), but was coupled with a very mechanistic, complicated system. It also had a very good, realistic combat system, whose only flaw is it depended on a table.

Background: a number of uplifted animal species were placed on a planet as part of a grand sociological experiement. After the experiment ended, the species "woke up", and without knowledge of humanity, constructed their own interstellar civilizatin. The focus is on politics, and the war that breaks out between the Confed and the Lapan Republic.
