The developer says he put the "transform into ghost car" power in there as a reference to Carrie and all the other books or movies with haunted vehicles. Apparently every Horror is a reference to a book or movie about ghosts.

I'm with the reviewer. I'd probably give Haunters the power to possess ghostly items (like Orphan-Grinders get the ability to possess ghosts), and maybe the ability to possess whole areas and landscapes. Turning into a giant monster truck doesn't do much for me.
