Converted from Phorums BB System
>>Interesting ideas but I have little or no understanding of Tarot decks or what it would entail to convert Rgicide to use them. Still, not a bad idea just have to find rules on a tarot deck. :-)<<
A Tarot deck is essentially identical to a standard deck of cards, save it has 1 extra court card per suit (the Page) and 22 "trumps" or "picture cards". These being the cards called "tarots".
These 22 cards carry archetypal imagery from The Fool (0) to The World (21) and could easily be linked to possible in-game "events", to be literally played to either start, end, or "trump" (read: block, stop, et al) said action.
Just a thought.
>>Essentially, and I am not being snarky (honest) you seem to be saying that you want to see it divorced from the 52 card deck, turned into its own non-collectible card/board game. In other words, you like Regicide except for Regicide.

<<
Not really.
Let's see if I can sum this up in one paragraph. . .
Regicide, as a set of rules to take a standard deck of playing cards and turn it into a game of fantasy intrigue is a great and potentially fun idea. However, the basic underlying concept could be developed further. If you choose to do so then Regicide can become a great way to give people to a fun mini-game while at the same time introducing them to the basic concepts of a larger game.
That make sense?
