Not really a review...

Converted from Phorums BB System

Sorry, but despite the reviewer's good intentions, this isn't really a review. In fact, if you eliminated the use of the first person and colloquialisms, it would almost be a dust jacket blurb.

Jian, I'm not busting on you, but we need to know the following things at minimum:

- What is the system like, and how does it support the genre/style of play?

- How do you justify the Style and Substance ratings? I mention this because you give a 5 for style but say that the art is "dire."

- An overview of the contents.

- Can the purchaser run a complete game within the supported genre/style with this product alone?

You did tell us that it has better examples and "discussion" than HeartQuest, which is a good start, but why do you say that? And what are these discussions you reference?

Also, the phrase "but frankly you just have to read it" does not belong in a review. If you're tempted to write this phrase, it usually means that you're not qualified to write the review yet.

Anyway, I've not read this product or its competitor, I'm not very familiar with this genre of anime and I'm no master of review writing. Just some stuff to keep in mind, though.
