Heshans (pronounced HEE-shuns) were created by a friend of mine for a Mekton campaign in 1988. I'm pretty sure it was based on Hessians, and had absolutely nothing to do with any reference to Haitians.

I know I've never heard Hee-shuns used as a racial epithet towards Haitians.
