Keeping track of Components and their traits on index cards is a great way to stay organized.

Thats the way we play, when doing an in-person game.

We pass the index card to the person who has Control of the Component, or who introduced a location component etc. So you can easily see who has control of what.

The person who controls then has the card to write down any new traits they introduce, or, can easily add any traits added to it by others from Complication resolutions.

On IRC I just use .txt files... and paste new traits in to the file on game stuff.

IRC play has the advantage of keeping a log of the game narration (we play with in-game narration in a separate room) which is handy later on when revisiting a game, especially when adding in new players, or those who've missed asession or two.
