Always good to catch your error before anyone else mentions it. I erroneously reported that you could trade, then upgrade your ship while on a planet.

The actual sequence is that you can only do ONE thing while on a planet. You may choose one of the following while planetside:
1. Buy
2. Sell
3. Upgrade Your Ship
4. Place/Increase a Bounty on a Fellow Player

Apologies if this messed anybody's understanding of the game up.

If you're playing the solo version, (rules found here www.playusmaximus.com) then you might want to allow yourself the luxury of doing the first three actions as a house rule; it helps you, so it's a cheat of sort, but it helps the game move more fluidly and quickly.
