Thank you for everyone's comments. I thought that the example they cited was weak as well since Corwin lost.

Another reason I stuck with Strength was that there is a balance to the stats. No one stat should be more important than the other. I felt that giving Warfare domain over unarmed combat would diminish Strength's importance.

As to Paranoid Obsessive's solution, I can see the reasoning but does that complicate things? Do you find players bidding fewer points in the Strength auction?
