Converted from Phorums BB System

A roleplaying game is worth nothing if it is never played. Nothing. Not one fvcking cent.

I had (and then sold) over $300 worth of Tribe 8 stuff. Fun to read, graphically sound, but never ended up playing it. Sold it all on ebay. Let's just say that the loss was more tha "5 dollars".

Wushu: Bought it a few days ago, will run it next week. Scheduled to run it 3 times at an upcoming convention. It already paid for itself several times over in use, in my eyes.

Standards? Let's talk about standards: The highest standard that we should hold to in the gaming industry is standing behind a designer who can make a game that's fun and playable. Wushu is both, and furthermore playable almost 'out of the box'. Tribe 8? Legend of the Five Rings? Blue Planet? All fun and playable... if your players are willing to invest time into understanding the rules and setting. And all three of the above are most definitely NOT playable out of the box.

So yeah, Wushu looks about as professionally laid out as a high school book report. I've eaten raw fiber and shat better desktop publishing. But it's more playable and fun, with a faster "return on your investment", than 90% of the games that I know of out there, even the Pretty Ones that have been pushed off my shelf and onto eBay.

If "Cult Mentality" = Standing behind games that you can actually fvcking play, rather than leaving their pretty-asses on the shelf because your group doesn't have the time, energy, or interest to learn the rules or setting, then send me my God damned robes and pour me a glass of the Kool Aid, bitch.
