Gotta disagree here. Elric had Stormbringer, the Actorios Ring of Kings and all the pacts that his for-fathers had made with various Elementals and Demons. Sure, the guy was smart, but he had to make due with potions and drugs to keep his strength, stamina, and even intelligence up without his artifacts.

Plus, he was an Eternal Champion, the Balance was looking out for him...
