I think most good game books don't presume to tell the GM what he can and can't do with the book.

You're also presuming everything in the book was aimed at the players. In a perfectly Malorian Arthurian tale the Base bloodline Rogue and the Common Bloodline Barbarian could still make regular appearances- as the enemy!
