You may be right - we never really went for monuments, because they are dead weight early on. But in the endgame, a building's extra features actually are not that important.

Somebody wrote about what 6-building to build in the early phases of the game. But I wonder - why build them this early at all? After all you could buy 2-3 other buildings that help to get you further along, couldn't you?
