I'm presently looking for new games to buy and San Juan and Puerto Rico are two of interest. I've played Puerto Rico a couple of times and like it somewhat, maybe enough to buy it. I suck at it but feel I could improve my game with somewhat more practice. Reading the review on San Juan made me interested in that game as well, seeming from this particular review to be more fun than how I've experienced Puerto Rico. Being cheaper San Juan gets som some more points. I wonder if there's much reason in buying both (do they differ enough for it to be worth it) and if not, why should Puerto Rico be worth buying instead of San Juan? Maybe someone can help me?
