Converted from Phorums BB System

There are more to Masterminds in espionage than a bunch of rules to delineate them, as I said.

I'd be curious to see precisely what you think the book should contain. The book is intentionally not setting specific. I would be extremely disappointed to get 60 pages of examples (although, if this is what you want, I highly recommend Most Wanted, by Paradigm). There's only so much general advice one can give on running a game. If you've got 128 pages, what would you fill it with? Me, I like a big, full box of toys to play with.

it is uncommon for an optional rules supplement to require the use of another optional rules supplement

Uncommon, yes, but not unheard of. And, it is uncommon in the Spycraft line, too. This book simply happened to have one of the most egregious examples of that behavior to date, in a way that, IMHO, could not be avoided.

Actually, I do like Spycraft the game. I do not like the direction of the brand.

I stand corrected. Much of your initial review of such things as the budget system and Sidestep led me to a different conclusion. My apologies.
